Casa de Campo Resorts and Villas became a sponsor of the 4th International Health and Wellness Tourism Congress in Santo Domingo, this upcoming September.
“We welcome Casa de Campo Resort & Villas is an excellent luxury touristic destination, where guests can explore the tropical environment that the country offers,” states a Twitter posting from AF Comunicación Estratégica.
Once again the Dominican Health Tourism Association hosts the main Health and Wellness event throughout the Caribbean that provides a multi-sectoral integration, business development, and excellent investment opportunities.

The congress is a meeting point for major national health centers, worldwide medical tourism authorities, the diplomatic community, large buyers of international health and executives of the U.S. and Canadian hospitals.
Likewise, it welcomes high-level representatives of the financial, health, tourism, wellness, transportation, education and investment sectors. Casa de Campo is a returning sponsor as they supported the 3rd edition of the international congress in 2016.
“Casa de Campo offers many amenities you would expect from a Caribbean getaway; golf, spas, beaches, and tennis. What is unique about Casa de Campo is its shooting center and hunting grounds. The shooting center is located on a 240-acre facility within the resort and an additional 20,000 acres outside of it. The shooting center, created in 1986 offers the hunting of quail, duck, pheasant, and partridge,” said Renee-Marie Stephano, President of the Medical Tourism Association™, on a 2012 article titled The Dominican Republic for Health, Wellness, and Luxury.
Casa de Campo’s Sports and Wellness Center
In 2015, Casa de Campo Resorts and Villas inaugurated its Health and Wellness project: a physiotherapy center that seeks to improve the experience of guests, residents and villa owners.
According to a local media report, the center is run by:
- Ron Yacoub, president of Pinecrest Physical Therapy, a line of physiotherapy centers throughout the metropolitan area of Miami
- Eduardo Mena, a 20-year veteran as a personal trainer of celebrities and international stars
- Therapist Ana Souza
A statement published by Casa de Campo highlighted that is the only private physiotherapy center in the Dominican Republic.
Pinecrest Physical Therapy is a world-renowned company for their focus on personalized strength and conditioning training aimed to improve health and fitness.
According to their website, the staff can handle any current back, shoulder and knee problems, and show you techniques for prevention and maintenance. Included in these services are ergonomics and education on proper posture.
The wellness center rates vary from an evaluation, a follow-up session, or a package of 10 sessions, for 120, 100, and USD 900, respectively.
What does Physical Therapist Ana Souza say about Pinecrest Casa de Campo?
“For a lot of residents, Casa de Campo is their second home, and they are in and out of their stay here, so we provide the opportunity to continue their physiotherapy treatments with their pre-existing physiotherapist on a cohesive plan,” suggested Souza in an article posted on casadecampoliving.com.
The specialist emphasized that Pinecrest Punta Cana teams with hospitals in the United States and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, no matter their location.
“Another aspect that makes us unique and favorable among our patients is our specialized attention. Since it is a small community, I can spend more time with my patients; we have become a family!”
