IMG Punta Cana appoints Dr. Josue Hernandez as medical director

The International Medical Group Punta Cana appointed Dr. Josue Hernandez as its new medical director, after serving as emergency director at the Plaza de la Salud.

Dr. Hernandez is an emergency and disasters specialist graduated from the Iberoamerican University and is trained as a manager of medical centers, specializing in health quality management.

The MD also coordinated training programs for medical residencies and training with the American Heart Association.

From his position at Plaza de la Salud, he has worked with public and private organizations at a local and international level.

The emergency room expert assumes the medical direction of IMG Punta Cana to strengthen the protocols of action, continuous medical education, teamwork, and innovation.

Who is Dr. Josue Hernandez

For the president of the Dominican Society of Emergenciology, Dr. Sarah de la Cruz, the physician is a person with great values and resolutive capacity.

In addition, she defines him as a leader with vast experience in the quality and management of high standards services.

Dr. Alejandro Cambiaso, head of Preventive Health at Plaza de la Salud and president of the Dominican Association of Health Tourism, foretells success in his new responsibilities and cataloged him as a professional of exceptional skills that will promote quality and safety at IMG Punta Cana.

He has our full support,” said Dr. Franklin Gomez, coordinator of specialized medical services of the Metropolitan Regional Health Service in a statement sent to Resumen de Salud.

IMG Hospital is a third level health center located in the Bávaro area, Punta Cana, roughly 15 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport.

Its construction was done in accordance with international standards and local protocols from the Ministry of Public Health of the Dominican Republic.

Moreover, it holds accreditations from the Medical Tourism Association and the Dominican Health Tourism Association.
