Leslee Thompson, CEO of Accreditation Canada and Health Standards Organization, sent a message supporting medical quality improvement in the Dominican Republic.

In a video sent to DoHealthWell® by AF Comunicación Estratégica, Thompson provided insights of her participation at the 4th International Health and Wellness Tourism Congress, scheduled from September 5-7th at the Renaissance Santo Domingo Jaragua Hotel & Casino.

“I am excited about participating in the 4th International Health and Wellness Tourism Congress, and meeting all of you to talk about issues that are really important in supporting quality improvement for everyone living within our regions,” said the health expert.

Thompson joins Ms. Karen Timmons, CEO of Global Health Care Accreditation; Dr. Francisco Neftalí Vásquez, M.D., Deputy Minister of Quality Assurance, Ministry of Public Health, in a panel titled “Importance of an International Medical Tourism Accreditation“, led by Dr. Nepomuceno Mejia, Knowledge and Innovation Manager, Hospital General Plaza de la Salud (HGPS).

“Together, we are going to discover some new ideas, exchange practices as what is leading the edge for improving quality health services for all,” mentions at the end of the clip.

Who is Leslee Thompson?

Leslee Thompson leads the People Powered Health movement ignited by Accreditation Canada and Health Standards Organization.

Following her appointment as CEO in 2016, she led a 12-month global consultation and business design process.

The Canadian leader has over 25 years of experience in senior executive and corporate responsibilities that include Healthcare, Medical Technology, Government, and Retail.

Leslee Thompson is a registered nurse and is internationally recognized because of her work in partnering with patients to improve outcomes.

Today, she is an active volunteer on the Daughters for Life Foundation Board, which dedicates to the belief that if you educate a girl, you can change the world.
